hi all, I live in a cottage with 3 bedrooms in the roof space, they have sloping walls with the plasterboard attached directly to the rafters, the roof is slate attached to 18cm wide boards, no felt and no vents. The rafters are unevenly spaced and not very parallel

I need to insulate these sloping walls and what I would like to do is slide down something to maintain a 50mm airgap and then slide down loose fill insulation behind to fill the rest of the space, about 120mm.

Does anyone know of a ready made tray product that I can slide down? it needs to be about 1.6m long and 400 - 460mm wide give or take.

Is this a workable system or a really bad idea?
