    TRV - Pin adjustment?

    No ideas anyone?

Wilo Gold RS60 - 15-60, what does it mean?

Hi, sorry for the delay, I fitted the pump at the weekend, but did not have time to do the full setup on the system, so have stuck it on C2 for now (just the fixed speed mode). I believe it is showing around 26W and between 0.7 and 0.8 m3/hr with just the heating running (probably most TRV are...

    TRV - Pin adjustment?

So I recently needed to replace the TRV head, the plastic collar that the metal ring "grips" had disintegrated. The pin in the valve was stuck UP, but a little clean, a little tappy tappy hammer, some GT85 and working the pin up and down with pliers and all seems good again. However, it seems...

Wilo Gold RS60 - 15-60, what does it mean?

That's great thanks, I ordered the Wilo earlier today from Screwfix, should be able to collect tomorrow and maybe fit Friday or weekend

Wilo Gold RS60 - 15-60, what does it mean?

Sounds good thanks, yes we had issues previously with the fixed speed pump that when we set the power to be enough to run the water through all rads with TRVs open and the hot water cylinder also wanting heat, it meant that then when there was no heating demand at all and only the hot water...

Wilo Gold RS60 - 15-60, what does it mean?

It looks like the Wilo is more adjustable (or at least more easily adjustable than the Evosta) but just rotating the wheel rather than poking at a button multiple times. I guess I'd set it to the 'radiator' side of things, but how do I know what value to set it to, or with 9 radiators do I just...

Wilo Gold RS60 - 15-60, what does it mean?

Is this the Wilo pump you mentioned as an alternative to the Evosta? Although a bit more expensive it does have the advantage that I could collect it locally (if it's the correct one?) https://www.screwfix.com/p/wilo-yonos-pico-25-1-6-130-glandless-circulating-pump-230v/6153x

Wilo Gold RS60 - 15-60, what does it mean?

Yup, those look like very familiar graphs  Open vented system, 2x two-port motorised valves, one for central heating, one for hot water cylinder, (and a bathroom towel rail that tees off before either valve so is on no matter which circuit is "active", but has the balancing valve closed...

Wilo Gold RS60 - 15-60, what does it mean?

Really? That doesn't sound... wonderful So should I be looking at a basic switchable pump rather than a "smart" one? Seems a lot has changed in the last 13 years since I fitted the RS60!

Wilo Gold RS60 - 15-60, what does it mean?

That's good to know about evosta, at least good parentage! Any info on how to setup the pump would be great, I've looked at the graphs & settings, but still not sure what I should pick. For my Wilo Gold RS60 I've generally used setting 1 in the summer, and 2 in the winter (when the central...

Wilo Gold RS60 - 15-60, what does it mean?

Cheers, those pumps seem to be a reasonable replacement cost of around £80-90 I've got isolator valves each side of the pump, so I'm assuming this would be pretty much a "drop in replacement", except for the multiple settings on the new pump - I'll have to have a read on how to set those!

    I did, and I didn't :( hence posting here.

Wilo Gold RS60 - 15-60, what does it mean?

I have a Wilo RS60 which is not working properly. In the manual it says it is 130mm between ports and 1 1/2" BSPM fittings. Pumps I see for sale say things like 25-60 and from what I've read this is to do with the fittings and the head, bit I don't follow. Do I need a 1 1/2" (37.5mm) fitting, so...

    Making bare brick attractive (sealant?)

We've recently had a conservatory built with a dwarf brick wall, and wanted to keep the interior as plain brick. However they constantly look dirty / dusty. Today we went over them with a stiff dry brush, and then again with the brush wetted to get the brick as clean as possible. Thing is, when...

Correct immersion heater size for 1050x450 cylinder

There are a couple of threads around with similar (or same!) titles, but none quite get to the issue of what I am trying to resolve. I have a Glenhill stainless Envirofoam tank, 1050 x 450 (140L) This has a TOP fitting immersion heater. Our boiler has currently packed up so we are using the...
