    Replacing Tap - Strange Fittings?

Hi All, about to replace a tap, I've done a few in my time but never looked like this. Are these brass fittings push fittings? As they appear to go onto plastic fittings? How do I get them off? And how do I get a flexible hose nut type fitting back on to the water feed?

Can anybody help with toilet wastes?

Many Thanks CBW and Madrab, really appreciate it. Would these two items be OK as they are telescopic to save me cutting? Or do I need that 90 degree you mentioned? And the below extension will fit inside that grey pipe piece inside the brown pipe? And then the pan connector will insert into...

Can anybody help with toilet wastes?

Many Thanks Madrab, I've already tried pulling that piece of grey pipe out but it's wedged in their solid, don't know if they may have glued it. What are my other options? I need to extend that pipe up ideally by about 300mm, and will then be able to reach with a new flexible pan connector?

Can anybody help with toilet wastes?

Or instead of the above I should be able to just use one of these? And reuse that white hose, the toilet end of that existing white hose is approx 100-110mm, therefore that should fit over the 97-107 inlet side of the below adaptor? And then I just fit the other end of that adapter to the toilet...

Can anybody help with toilet wastes?

So I 'think' I may have solved it? Do I need to get a section of this, cut it down, insert this into the brown pipe in the wall, and then I can use the existing white hose to come off the new section of pipe...

Can anybody help with toilet wastes?

I've unleashed a Monster! Tried to pull the white pipe up and it slipped out of the brown pipe, therefore would it be best to use rigid pipe into that main pipe and then connect up to a outlet flange onto the toilet? See photos below, the white pipe isn't going to reach the toilet as it's not...

Can anybody help with toilet wastes?

I've managed to get the black elbow out ther wasn't difficult, and it measured as below. Bit concerned about disturbing that brown waste pipe as can't get hands down the side to steady it as too tight. Please see photos below for measurements of that white pipe, what options do I have if I...

Can anybody help with toilet wastes?

If I pull that white pipe out can it dislodge the brown pipe further down inside the wall?

Can anybody help with toilet wastes?

Thanks guys this is what's below it and will be difficult to reach down to the brown regid pipe and worried about disturbing it, if it comes out of something I'm stuffed..... THOMP1983, do I just pull that existing elbow out of that white section, then will measure, and then put a new elbow in...

Radiator Leaking - What am i doing wrong?

Hi All, just wanted to say a big thank you to you all, I managed to get the rad installed and the radiator tails held 1st time with 20 wraps of PTFE tape on them!! I can't believe they needed that much and I was still able to thread them into the rad. One thing though I did have a problem...

Radiator Leaking - What am i doing wrong?

Many Thanks Terry, this really isn't an option for us as already drilled the fitting holes through brand new tiles for the rad. What's the best way of draining it down off a Combi with not a single drain plug fitted to any rads? I've been sprayed by a fountain of water 5 times yesterday...
