How much to fill in this fireplace?
Brickwork a bit shabby so probably need knocking back a bit and bricking up rather than just boarding over but plaster seems solid either side of the old fireplace.
Happy to hear what you think whether to brick or board and what costs estimated at...

Doing a mates bedroom in a couple of weeks and his bay window has rounded corners at each end of the window rather than straight edges. These go from the window sill down the the skirting board.
Any tips how to work with these. I guess it mught be a case of letting the plaster go...

Why are some pink & some gray for bonding coat plaster? It comes in the purple bags so assume all the same but for me the pink stuff is easier to apply.
Am I missing something?

It was a college course Mark (12 weeks) cost £295 and worth every penny. It was just walls & plasterboard but they showed you about suction,different backgrounds & different types of plaster etc. A good introduction.

I did a college course just before Xmas and was a bit overrawed at first but I'd say get stuck in!
Just remember all you were taught and take it from there. These guys on the forum are great for answering any questions.

We do, one large one and a smaller one. My old man was up there earlier today and said he'd drained them off yet still the water flowed.
He's no expert mind and maybe they'd not drained out fully.
