Just renting a flat to find a very old Shower Mixer Valve needs replacing due to 'limescale damage', we have a budget off £500 by the landlord to sort out
The two copper pipes shown in picture are a Hot and Cold feed from the immersion heater with good pressure. The existing valve works but...
I laid down a solid wood floor (which was already factory varnished) and then applied 2 coats of additional Varnish to add protection of spills etc
I now regret putting this varnish on as it's 'peeling off' as it doesnt have a bond or key to the realwood floor

Hello again m8, I laid real-wood (engineered) with a lacquered finish. The varnish bonded OK for about 6 months until I started rolling a wheelie office desk chair over it
I fitted laminate in bedroom then coated with Ronseal Varnish. The instructions stated this was not advisable. I did it to 'seal' the floor from future spills as intend to rent.
Now the varnish is flaking off. What's the best procedure to remove/strip the varnish from the laminate floor...
Ford Mondeo (2002) Alarm keeps going off
Locked with remote from key, bonnet, boot and all doors locked OK, windows up, anywhere between 1 -7 days the alarm goes off
Anyone know how to disable the alarm, like is there a fuse or something

I installed a Triton Opal over a year ago and the water pressure was THEN ok
Water board (in there infinite wisdom) have reduced the pressure in the West London area

Cut through architraves with an undercut saw using an off-cut board as a guide to rest the saw onto. The floor can then be slid under the architrave and still be able to expand
