Lavatory pan not flushed at front.

My loo pan is not fully flushing, the front area is being missed. I reckon, either the feed pipe from the cistern is partially blocked, or there is a build-up of scale where it enters the pan. Would it be feasible, to clear any scale by blocking the point where the flush water enters the bowl...

    Center RF thermostat intermittent

I had a 340017 installed with a new combi Baxi 830 last November, and on 4 occasions now, it has asked for the Date to be input again. I shall call my heating engineer tomorrow. I am presuming, that the fixed Receiver has to be replaced as well as the mobile Thermostat. I'm glad I checked on here.

    Flourescent lamp failure.

Thank-you all for your replies. I attach photos of the ballast, there appears to be no soot marks evident, which I was expecting. The LED lamps are a great improvement, the colour temperature is variable as well, set this to Warm White.

    Flourescent lamp failure.

Few days ago, I switched off the kitchen light at end of the evening, it went out with a bang, and the RCD in the consumer unit had cut-out as well - not a split-load unit. Switched RCD back on, all OK, except kitchen light not working - the tube is good, checked in another fitting. Would this...

    TomTom Sat. Nav. update

My TomTom appears to have been affected by the GPS Week Rollover Week, I understand that 6 April 2019 was the critical date. I looked on the TomTom website, input the serial number, to be informed I need to upgrade, and for my PC system, had a choice of Windows XP or Vista, or OS Mac. - Windows...

    Cordless Vacuum Cleaner

Three years ago, I bought a Morphy Richards cordless Supervac, model no. 732000, for use upstairs, to avoid taking the mains-powered cleaner up and down the stairs. Shortly after the 2-year guarantee ran out, I noted that a full charge was lasting progressively less time, and at about 33 months...

    Taps with flow restriction device.

Once I had scraped all the limescale off, they unscrewed easily. Then soaked in vinegar for some time, all the small holes then clear, and now flowing well.

    Taps with flow restriction device.

Daughter has just moved into flat, and the kitchen and bathroom sink taps appear to have an insert in them, with holes in. This restricts the flow, especially as they need de-scaling. Are such items normally removable, as I have never seen such before? I do not really see the need for them...

    Morpy-Richards battery-powered floor cleaner.

Bernard, thank-you for the link to 'allbatteries', they do have a wide range, and I should be able to find a size to fit my 'SuperVac' cleaner.

    Morpy-Richards battery-powered floor cleaner.

I bought this cleaner three years ago, cost about £100, and now the lithium battery pack does not hold a charge. I thought, has anyone here fitted new batteries to one of these cleaners, or a similar type? I am a bit reluctant to bin it, just not very sustainable! Any advice would be much...
