I've found some 28mm core 19mm wall of some similar spec insulation to Armaflex but cheaper. http://www.pipelagging.com/28mm-black-foam-pipe-insulation-class-19x028-p-4194.html I've asked them if they can supply the 25mm wall version :)

What size Armaflex did you use (i'm assuming on a 25mm pipe)?

Thanks for the info. The current supply comes into the the rear of the property from a different street via my neighbours so this will be all new to the front from my road. This is why i'm curious about how to marry up the work from my side to the street side.

Quick update on this, changed the fire hinges to regular hinges and it closes perfectly now. Will have to find a replacement fire hinge that differs from the current ones.
