Hi everyone, We have an 8 seater brown stone patio table that has gone 'dull' over the last couple of years with sun and winter damage which needs bringing back to life. Can anyone give me some tips on restoring it, ie any rubbing down involved along with any chemical cleaning and products...

    Electric to summerhouse

Chri5, many thanks for your response and guidance. As I said to ricicle above, now I know what I'm in for I can feel confident that I'm not going to get ripped off when I eventually manage to get an electrician to turn up! Thanks once again.

    Electric to summerhouse

Thanks for the advice ricicle. Was not planning on doing this myself anyway, just wanted to gain some knowledge of what I was in for before trying a third electrician in case he tries to rip me off.

Where to by 8' x 4' Laminated Chip Board Sheets

Yes conti board is what I'm after, and sorry, my subject incorrectly said 8 x 4 and should've been 6 x 4. Basically I need a couple of sheets to make an end panel for some built in wardrobes and to make an adjoining desk to match the walnut sliding doors I've fitted.

Where to by 8' x 4' Laminated Chip Board Sheets

Hi all, Have tried the usual suspects for laminated chipboard but none do the size I require. Also I should mention that I'm after a Walnut effect. I've tried looking on the internet but with no success so any assistance would be greatly appreciated. Many thanks,

Summerhouse Foundations and Fox Burrows (impatient OP)

Symptons, thanks for your solution, but that would be alot of concrete considering the surface area being approximately 22sqm. How deep would the slab have to be?

Summerhouse Foundations and Fox Burrows (impatient OP)

As you will see from the title I have a problem with a foxes den at the end of my garden which is coincidentally where I want to put my Summerhouse. I'm pretty sure of how to get rid of them but worried when it comes to doing the foundations for the summerhouse. The summerhouse is going to...

    Laying railway sleepers as steps

Thermo, thanks for advice. Would I put the pegs along the front edge, back edge or at the sides? Don't really want them on show and want the steps quite close. Also, would you have any tips on putting spot lights into the sleepers?

    Laying railway sleepers as steps

Planning to 'landscape' the 'in-laws' garden for them soon and would appreciate some advice on laying sleepers as steps. The garden level is higher than the patio with a slope to the front edge which is where they want the steps. Is it just a case of cutting into the slope with a spade to make...
