Tony, Thanks for the reply. Can you point me in the direction of a programmer that would work? Would it require any additional wiring? WB do the DT20 which fits in the place of the existing timer, if I used one of these would it just be a case of swapping it over? Simon.

Thanks. Has anyone had any experience of the British Gas repair service. On the web site it asks me to put my postcode in ( GL15 6HE) and it gives me a quote of £156 inc parts and labour. This doesn't sound like a bad price.......... is there a catch??

Hi, For my sins I have a Britony Combi 80 which has started to make a very load groaning noise after a period of drawing hot water. It only seems to do it if the water has been on for more than a couple of minutes and does it once the tap is switched off. Has anybody got any ideas...

Hi, I have the above problem. I discovered it when I noticed that the central heating system was loosing pressure and needed topping up almost every week. Then, one day I noticed that the pile of towels that we keep under the boiler were soaking wet. I have taken the case off the boiler...

:D Problem solved...... Traced to a small piece of debris in the Venturi. Removed that and hey presto .... back in business. Thanks to everyone for their help and advice. Simon.

Someone at work tells me they had a similar problem with thier boiler (not same make) and it was the venturi that was blocked. Is this possible/probable? They said that they removed it and cleaned it out and it was fine after that. Simon.
