    Sounds good, thanks.

Tiling onto Foil-faced Kingspan/Cellotex type stuff

Thanks. Is there no primer or anything I could try that would make the tiles stick? It's a small room already so I'm really reluctant to loose any more space with another layer of plasterboard. As well as a primer I could "rough-up" the surface of the board if you think that would help?

Bonding Foil-faced Kingspan/celotex type stuff to brick wall

It seems a lot of trouble to put up timber studwork for just 22mm of insulation (the wall is quite uneven so would need a lot of packing to get the battens level), and is a layer of plasterboard really necessary when I'm going to tile it? It's a small room already, so I'm keen to not reduce the...

Bonding Foil-faced Kingspan/celotex type stuff to brick wall

Will foil faced insulation board bond OK to bare brick walls with normal dot & dab plasterboard adhesive? I'm renovating a small bathroom. It has two outside walls, which are very cold, so I was hoping to dot & dab some insulation boards to the walls (walls are already stripped-back to bare...

How much fall required for a hot water header tank?

Thanks. I've just moved the cylinder up to the loft and it's working OK. The cold water tank seems to refill pretty quickly (very nearly keeps up with the drain, even with all the taps on) so I think there's very little chance of the level in the tank ever dropping to the level of the top of...

How much fall required for a hot water header tank?

I am planning to move my hot water cylinder into the loft. The cold water tank is already raised high into the apex of the roof, however the base of the tank will still be slightly lower (only about 200mm) than the feed from the top of the proposed hot water cylinder. The top of the cold water...

    flue route

Would it be OK to duct a kitchen extractor straight through the wall into a garage, or would there be fire regulations issues? Would I have to duct it right through the garage to the outside using fireproof ducting? If so, where can you get fireproof ducting? A lot of the plastic ducting claims...
