    Thanks for your help guys. The house is around 16 years old, and I wouldn't be surprised if the alarm system is also roughly of the same age. It's too dark to snap a pic of the bellbox but I've attached pics of one of the sensors and door contacts. Thanks - I'll check out the euro 76...

I've just now had a local firm come and price up a new system replacing 3 PIR sensors, 2 door contacts, panel (a hybrid Eaton ion40h which then allows for future expansion with cameras etc), keypad, bellbox and dummy, keeping existing wiring for £920- wow! I moved into a house that had been empty for 2 years, only to find the fitted wired alarm system keypad showing this (pls see pic). It is a Eurosec CP8L according to the manual left behind.
