Leaking Strap Boss 32mm to soil pipe

I had the work done 7 years ago when the location of the bathroom was moved. They put in all new pipework, which had been fine up until now. Not sure why the rubber bung has become so loose. Never handled one before, but I assume it should be a pretty snug fit.

Leaking Strap Boss 32mm to soil pipe

The strap boss itself does look glued to the pipe and feels solid, no water seems to leak from it. Between the bung and the white waste pipe it seems well sealed too. The leak appears to be coming from between the strap boss and the rubber bung that fits into it (the ribbed part). It feels...

Leaking Strap Boss 32mm to soil pipe

The sink in my bathroom is connected to a the main soil pipe via a rubber strap boss which has recently started to leak for some reason (noticed by a big stain on the ceiling downstairs). I gained access to it by lifting some floorboards and found the rubber part to be pretty loose (slides in...

Dormer on a partial loft conversion - How much & which trade?

A few years ago, I fully refurbished my house. During that time, whilst ceilings were down, the builder replaced the joists in the attic in preparation for a future loft conversion. Plumbing and electrics were also brought up and a staircase was also fitted. All of the above was done to meet...

    UPVC Window Not Closing Flush?

Thanks for the replies. Yeah the windows are pretty old and in need of changing really. See attached photo. It's just a matter of replacing the hinge on that side?

    UPVC Window Not Closing Flush?

I have a window that fails to close properly and was wondering if anyone here knew what could be causing it? When open, it seems to be in a normal position. When closed, the left side (especially the top part) doesn't sit flush with the rest of the frame. The right side is pretty much ok...

    Central Heating Fault, Diverter Valve?

The video should work. Here's the direct link if not: As far as I know, yes, it controls the heating. When I can get the heating to come on (often after a few on/off attempts with the thermostat), that bottom valve makes a noise, as shown in the video.

    Central Heating Fault, Diverter Valve?

Bit of an issue with my central heating this past few days, it's struggling to come on. When I turn up the temperature to trigger the heating, it often seems to fail. It's hard to say how often, because it can work fine for a few minutes whilst testing, but then minutes later, or a day later...

Filling Gaps Between Stone & Coving ??

Well it should look alright, providing I can find a suitable filler. But I don't know what product to use. I've not seen anything really that suitable. Are there any really thick fillers that won't leave marks if it touches the stone?

Filling Gaps Between Stone & Coving ??

Bit of an unusual one, but I have interior stone walls and am trying to find a solution to filling the gaps between the unevenness of the stone and the straight edge of the coving. Maybe I should have gotten a plasterer to make a smooth surface at the top for it to fit against, but then I'm not...
