Hello Suray I’m referring to a my own situation where the house had a plastic rather than a metal house cu. I presume you’re saying that the armour would ideally be earthed via the metal cu if present?

Your registered electrician might also suggest that the 32 A mcb be on the non-rcd side of your house cu and that the armour is glanded into a metal adaptable box at the house end and earthed back to the earth bar in the cu. At the summerhouse end the armour should be glanded into a plastic box...

Hi I have used a Kewtech KT35 to find insulation resistance of new 1.5mm cable. The values at 250, 500 and 1000V appear to be in excess of 2000 mega ohms i.e the upper limit of the instrument. Would these values be normal? Thanks

Hi I’ve had to break up some of the screed in my living room to replace burst central heating pipes. After I have installed the new screed (sand cement 4:1 at 50mm) how long should I cure the screed for before laying a laminate floor? Any help or other suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks
