I would spend the money on someone who knows what they are doing and can fault find in a logical process …. as I think you will end up going round in circles …
Theirs is no difference whether it’s powered by battery or mains ….unless there is something else connected to,that mains supply ..that only runs off 240 volts …
FFS …Smoke alarms bleep when the back up battery is getting low …..for weeks even months ….i think someone would notice …anyway if you fit the AICO smokes all you need to do is release the faulty one and slide in a new unit …no need to isolate anything
If you cant sort out the network side then I wouldn’t bother , you can pick up a 5mp waterproof camera for around £20 and probably a cheap dvr for around £100..
Ok ….run both sliders up and down , then reset to correct setting and re try , hold two devices side by side ….. see if any thing is different it’s been know for Texecom to miss something off ….lol
This is what I would do ….download an app like Fing or network scanner ….check what’s on your network , it should give a list of all,devices ….make note ….now connect camera , hold in reset and power up ( this will probably default ip settings and it should pick up new ip address…give it 5 mins...
