Yes, I bought some 3W G4's to replace the old T15 7W ones, they are much brighter and even though they were very cheap from ebay, they are still burning bright 3 years later.
Looks like a Ring select-a-light Transformer from B&Q.
And the lights are like this?
You might struggle to get the MR16 lamps to fit in the T15 fitting (I've tried).
Mag locks are typically powered from an alarm system style PSU with a lead acid battery backup. It's common to use alarm cable and cat5 from my experience (I prefer alarm as cat5 isn't really ideal in screw terminals). What sort of control unit is being installed?
Does anyone know of a LED BC/E14 lamp *bulb* that is similar to that of a 15W Pygmy lamp?
Even the smallest LED lamp I can find is around 3W and is comparable to to a 30W incandescent lamp.
Thanks

Many thanks
Sounds good! Our current ones are 24V and wired with twin & earth which seemed unusual to me?
We're looking to install some more and were wondering if this is something we could do ourselves (apart from getting a spark to connect the PSU to a mains supply and the fire alarm).
The current...
Hi guys, for anyone familiar fitting these, are there any additional requirements or things to be aware of other than ensuring the wiring is done correctly and the power is automatically removed when the fire alarm is activated?
Thanks
I know this is not ideal, both aesthetically or practically but does anyone have any ideas the best way to install 20mm round plastic conduit from above to one of the following types of exterior wall lights?
