    Had a 5.1 surround for years..is it 5.1 ?

If the amp has a crossover setting then I recommend setting it to 80hertz. Gain (volume) around 12o'clock position and phase depends on room acoustics. Try 0 then 180. Your own prefference really to which sounds better. If amp has no crossover setting for sub then set dial to around 80hertz...

Electrician to test sockets? Scam or not??

Hi thanks for your words, I can see your point totally. Sparky gave two options 1st being charge per socket but could end up expensive if not found till last, or pay him a day rate. I would pay a day rate but if he found within an hour then he would hopefully charge accordingly. He...

Electrician to test sockets? Scam or not??

There is a couple of sockets hidden as such in kitchen where cooker plugs in and extractor fan plugs in. Lights are all on one circuit as you say but I guess this is because of original house wiring, house built around 60's. Once sparky comes back next week I will ask him what faults he...

Electrician to test sockets? Scam or not??

The electrician came as part of the company who has taken on the conservatory complete build, therefore they supplied there sparky. We originally had the cheap option of putting a breaker or an rdc or something in a plug socket or near a socket closest to the new conservatory. This was explained...

Conservatory base, shoddy work or not??

I'm not a builder but also not daft, I raised my concerns each time I felt something wasn't being done correctly. The builders and conservatory company head man assured me that everything they doing is fine. I will be getting them to have a meeting with my wife and I to see what they suggest!!
