    Shower pump on/off issue

Roger that! Something like this maybe? http://www.screwfix.com/p/end-feed-air-vent-cap-15mm-x/52451 Chop off the pipe to the bottle vents and jam them on the end as low as I dare go?

    Shower pump on/off issue

Hi all! Had a shower issue for years and years. I put it down to the old shower mixer being, well, old...and lived with the problem knowing I was going to renovate the bathroom at some point. That time has now come and gone, and the new shower mixer/pipework is giving me the same headache. Here...

Pumped shower stuttering when turned off

The bottle vents were brand spanking new with the shower change. From Screwfix, maybe too cheap? Do more expensive ones offer better 'performance'? Have level valves down the track before the drop into the airing cupboard, so that is something good at least!

Pumped shower stuttering when turned off

Hi all, Wonder if I might beg some experience/knowledge on an ongoing issue we have with our shower. It is a pumped system. Pump is in the airing cupboard (see pic) with feeds to the shower going into the loft and dropping down into the bathroom. There are bottle vents at the top of the shower...

    Toilet waste - funny size?

Awesome. Thanks all for the input. Ordered a 3.5 flexible from local merchant. The tightness of the 4 inch was worrying me. So I pulled it and put the old adapted in the chain. Fit is much better. It was a real struggle to get the 4 inch off(!) so I know it was the right decision. I have also...

    Toilet waste - funny size?

New toilet is a back to wall type so flexi makes it a lot easier. Plus the slight incline that is in the wall outlet makes it interesting! Also the new pan is further away from the wall than the old one.

    Toilet waste - funny size?

Hi all, Wonder if anyone out there can offer some advice regarding connecting up a toilet pan to the existing waste outlet. I pulled out the old pan and waste, and bought a flexible pan connector. I managed to get the end into the wall socket using the existing rubber gasket, but only after a...

Sub floor for vinyl in bathroom

Hi all, Wonder if I might beg some advice. Going to be laying new vinyl sheet flooring in my bathroom. Currently it has floorboard-thin hardboard-stick on vinyl tiles. Naturally the thin hardboard (maybe 3mm) has suffered over the years and the floor is a bit up and down. Floorboards are as...

    Sink popup waste rod

Yeah. The top bit of the rod in your image. Connects to the level on the tap. Seems to be no thread on either end, and it won't push in. I have jammed a bit of plumbers gold in it. Might gaffer tape it as well when it has set. See how that fix works out for us :/

    Sink popup waste rod

Hi all, Having a small problem (diy) fitting a second hand sink waste popup. Does the push rod just sit in the recess at the end of the push lever? Or does it fit in a little more securely some how? Thanks!

    Studs for tiles/shower

Roger that denso! I have them, why be lazy and not use them eh? Started fixing them...and the drill battery dies. No problem, grab my other drill. One more hole...dies as well. Always the way eh!? Also added some grab adhesive all round for good measure. Good call footprints...but the head...

    Studs for tiles/shower

Hi all, Just studded up a corner that will be covered with tile backer board then tiles (total will be approx 25kg/sqm and area is approx 0.5m/sq. Is my studding adequate? (Let's not go as far as 'good' eh!) I have 45 degree batons for the vertical if it is needed? Thanks!
