Thanks - just edited the post to include the link to brackets and not the shelf! I've got 3 brackets for the shelf which is 1.8 m long, 30cm wide. It's a brick wall that used to be the external wall before they added a lean to in the past.

Seen lots of info about what to use with internal walls, but a few of the walls which have been chased in are external on the other side. They are brick walls and the chasing is just through the horsehair plaster. What would you use to fill these?

Just got some solvent weld pipe and fittings, but how do I join them to the pipe that is coming through the wall, which I can't take out as concreted in?

Only got a small space for sink, washing machine and cooker to go into, and the boiler is at the far right which means the cooker can't go there. Which order would you recommend? Sink has to go far left, then its currently washing machine, cooker, drawers - but does that leave hobs too near...
