Checked the filter.....clean....made no difference. As said in the first post........the flow of water does NOT change. My thoughts is that the heater can is faulty? Anyone had the problem with any other heater can? Or maybe the thermal cut out operating?

Yes, but it was OK'd when we bought the house five years ago so it may be 'on the edge'. My original question though was .....it it easy to replace the 30A MCB with a 40A. It looks like you have to remove the bottom busbar but there don't appear to be any screw and it looks to be all in one...
