I got a new electric cooker (Beko, total power consumption 10kW) from Currys. The Currys installation engineer said there is some problem with the cooker connection point (earth loop test failed with a reading of 160 and the red switch of the cooker is not isolated from extractor hood switch)...

following a rain I found that some of the felt at the edge of my roof (that is close to the gutter) is quite wet. Does this mean rain somehow gets under a broken tile and goes down on the felt? Some parts of the edge felt that overhangs into the gutter is frayed or missing. Is this normal tear...

while I was clearing the gutter I found the felt at the edge is worn. At Some place the felt is very brittle and some is torn and dangling in the gutter. Since I have upvc fascia and soffit I suppose this is not a problem? Also if the tiles are good the felt at edge won't cause any problem I hope?

20 year old house. I noticed that there are 2 vertical thin cracks in the mortar of the roof verge, near the top. Also, at the lowest end of the verge (where the slope finishes and the verge becomes flat) there is no undercloak beneath the mortar. The mortar just sits directly on the soffit...

hi I just noticed there is a "scar" on the inlet pipe of my toilet cistern. I cannot tell if it is just paint missing or some surface metal is worn out. Does anyone know how thick is the metal wall of this kind of pipe and would this defect cause any leaking in future? Thanks.

Found some thin cracks in a bedroom upstairs. House is 20 years old. Hairline cracks less than 1mm wide. One under window, other at two walls meet and between wall and ceiling. Is this just a cosmetic issue or should I be concerned? How to patch it up? Many thanks.
