    Rotate gas meter hose?

Thanks guys the real question is if it's worth getting a gas Safe engineer out to do this. I'm guessing the answer is no as it will cost over £200 (SW London) but worth asking. I'm NOT looking for advice about the drawers as they will pull out fully to enable us to read the meters / shut off...

    Rotate gas meter hose?

Hello, we are having some storage built for understairs cupboard. Now that it's been opened up you can see the gas meter flex hose sticks out a which will interfere with the new drawers. I wonder if I could loosen the bolts and rotate that hose and regulator 90 degrees so it's parallel with the...

Advice on 1.8m vs 1.83m (6 foot) wide fence panels

I ended up spacing the fence 1.8m and not using packing strips. The reason was I needed the post holes to be far enough away from the trees that are planted along the fence line. It meant that I needed an additional panel to cut down to 54cm at the end as the slightly smaller panels plus the...

Advice on 1.8m vs 1.83m (6 foot) wide fence panels

Oh yeah I did say that up front. I guess they're not mainstream yet like concrete and wood ones

Advice on 1.8m vs 1.83m (6 foot) wide fence panels

Thanks for the reply. They're actually composite ones so easy to cut - I'm using this durapost system which has steel posts and composite gravel boards. So you think I just cut them to 1.8 and go for it.

Advice on 1.8m vs 1.83m (6 foot) wide fence panels

Hello, I can't find any advice anywhere. I have new 1.8m wide fence panels to put in the back garden. The panels are exactly 1.8 meters wide but the gravel boards are 1.83. should I pack out panels to 1.83 or cut gravel boards down to 1.8? I am using durapost system so could easily cut down the...

Solution for drive built too high?

We have this same issue. Had a rear extension done in the winter and they realised the block paving was all above the dpc. We live in a semi so had block paving in the drive, side path and patio at the back. We're slowly getting rid of it and digging down around 6 inches and laying slabs. We are...

Siemens thermostat to Hive Active Heating wiring help

Hello, We just moved into a new house that has a Siemens therm installed on a Glow worm combi boiler. It works fine but I find it really complicated to programme so want to switch to a Hive as the prices are down for 'black Friday' sales. Before I install I just want to doublecheck the wiring...
