Slow leaking Push Button Toilet Problem?

Hate Torbecks for this reason. They seem to resist all attempts at repairing them. Sometimes they don't shut off even when new.

    Toilet fitting

Yes. Unless you are very clumsy and built like a gorilla, the risk of splitting the plastic soil pipe is virtually non-existent.

    Toilet fitting

Only going to be of use if your soil pipe is at 90 dgrees to the pan though.

    Toilet fitting

So you're saying the soil pipe that the toilet connects to is plastic? A sharp wood saw will do then. If you manage to crack it in the process you should leave the diy to the missus!

    Joining British Gas Homecare

Thanks. The Homecare contract seems a good deal and I personally would consider it but boiler is still under warranty. Will make sure system water is as clean as filtered Evian if I ask for quote.

That's fair enough. But it's still not clear whether the powerflush IS a pre-condition of Homecare or not? Or only in certain cases? And if so,which ones?

    Joining British Gas Homecare

Leaving personal issues aside for a moment, why is it then that BG want 600 stripes nearly for a powerflush, yet independents can do it for half that? Do they use better chemicals?

    Joining British Gas Homecare

Well,it's no wonder there are so many people reporting bad experiences with BG if their staff are as smug and offensive as certain people posting here. Can't see that it's a good advert for the company at all.
