    Megaflo System - Pressure.

Ok. I will give this a go at the weekend (only time I have the chance), if I remember this may have been done once before, I have a couple of questions, What causes the air gap to go? How long with the lowest hot tap open and me holding the tpr valve for the air gap to replenish, if I remember...

    Megaflo System - Pressure.

Hi there, I have a megaflo unvented system, which is 15years old. over the years it as been fine, with a few issues, I.e new boiler 5 years ago, new filling loop, and a replaced expansion vessel, which at the same time 2 years ago the 3 bar pressure relief (RWC) cartridge was changed. However...

    Condensate Drain

Question. Just had the boiler serviced by Worcester Bosch Engineer (Greenstar 18i), but he tells me that my accredited (WB) installer, as made a pigs ear of the condensate drain. It drops internally in the garage (boiler in garage) outside and into a soak away. The problem is the soak away is...

    Unvented system losing pressure again...

Latest..! Pressure drop is only when we run the CH. HW pressure goes from 1 to 1.5 bar then back to 1bar. CH goes from 1 to 2 bar then as cools pressure drops to less than 0.5bar. The system is protected by a 3 bar blow off valve rwc cartridge type. Is it possible that this is letting...

    Unvented system losing pressure again...

Had an engineer in yesterday, who fitted a new expansion vessel and said that should do the trick..,! Woke this morning to clanking and pressure down to zero.. Rung the guy back who said your boilers prob had it.. Worcester Bosch 18i only 2.5 years old.. Just topped up ran a CH cycle. Pressure...

    Unvented system losing pressure again...

Latest findings... Expansion vessel ok.. No water down tun dish well at least not enough to dissolve 1 piece of Andrex, ch and HW on tonite for 3 hrs... Pressure gone.. And 1 litre of wAter out of boiler condensate.. Any sensible opinions.. No water leaks on rad valves or anywhere... Question...

    Unvented system losing pressure again...

do you mean the air gap in the megaflo? it was done a while back but I was told only do this if water is dripping from the prv into the tundish? I thought the air gap is just to pressurize the hot water?

    Unvented system losing pressure again...

I understand the way the system works.. It's the system external exp vessel that was changed, I have tissue paper on the tun dish, so I know no water as passed throu, no leaks, my thinking was that the heat exchanger was leaking system water into the condensate drain... Is this possible or would...

    Unvented system losing pressure again...

I've checked everywhere for leaks, no visible sign, no weapy valves. Anyway it could leak through the boiler heat exchanger?

    Unvented system losing pressure again...

Expansion vessel has 1bar in it, measured when off (new out of box) so per charged with 1 bar of nitrogen. How much condensate would you expect to see discharged out of the condensate drain having boiler running for 3 hrs with HW and CH on ? System was only running at 2bar never saw it go...

    Unvented system losing pressure again...

Hi. Unvented megaflo with a Worcester Bosch regular green star 18i boiler. Megaflo 10yrs old , boiler 2years.. All worked fine for two years, until recently, system pressure dropped, local guy said it was expansion vessel and removed re fitted new vessel. System back up and running.. But...

    Unvented System Pressure

I mean system pressure, which as always run from 1,bar cold to 2 bar hot.. But now it's 1 bar cold 1.2 bar hot.. Only asked for a logical answer as to what this pressure differential as changed. I am a engineer so understand how these systems are supposed to work

    Unvented System Pressure

Seems and odd question but thought i'd ask. Local heating engineer tells me no problems, but here's my question. System is unvented, Megalfo (10yrs old), 4yr old WorsBosch boiler. Had a problem with pressure creeping up. eventually put to bed by changing the filling loop. When fitted system...

    High Pressure in unvented system

To all who replied, just a quick note to say problem sorted. Problem was the filling loop, bought one from W.....s and thought this was ok, however after trying all the solutions offered the only explanation could be the filling loop, so bought another from Screwfix and hey presto problem gone...

    High Pressure in unvented system

Thanks for replies.. Sorry not been back, only been away. What's the best way to check for a pin hole in the transfer coil. Presume if not the filling loop can only be transfer coil pin hole, is there any other way mains pressure could force up primary sys pressure. Some one mention the heat...
