Question.
Just had the boiler serviced by Worcester Bosch Engineer (Greenstar 18i), but he tells me that my accredited (WB) installer, as made a pigs ear of the condensate drain.
It drops internally in the garage (boiler in garage) outside and into a soak away. The problem is the soak away is just a 100mm tube filled with decorative pebbles not lime chips.
Alternatively I could easily drop the external pipe (32MM) into a very close soil drain.
Is this acceptable or do I get a proper soak away and lime chippings.!
Obvious the 32mm pipe would have to be underground into the soil, would it freeze..!

The condensate drain is technically part of the flue system and as such you shouldn't be doing anything with it unless you are Gas Safe Registered. If it was me, I'd join it into the soil pipe, but proper anti-frost measures do need to be taken
