    Removing Ivy from brick wall

When i removed the ivy from my property i scraped it back as much as i could then used a pressure washer. Try it on the lowest setting first and on a brick that wont be seen. If it causes any major damage to brickwork stick to the scraper and elbow grease.

    Toyota Avensis indicators

When i use the indicators they are very temperamental. They work perfect when indicating right but when indicating left sometimes they work and other times you get a very quick indicator noise but no flashing bulbs. Is it just a matter of changing the flasher.

    MOT failure (emissions)

Thanks for all the responses. I added some chemicals into the petrol, gave it a good blast down 1 junction on the motorway. Back in for the retest this morning and through she went. Best £12.50 spent in ages. So if your motor is going in for its MOT flush the engine through. :D

Joining two timbers together, what size coach screw to use

Try putting a binding timber across all the sagging timbers to equalize the weight a bit better. Make sure that it spans all the joists across the room and plus some in other rooms . Also fix timber ties from the perlin to binder. This will spread the weight.

    INTERNAL DOORS

If you are collecting the doors yourself check them then to see if they are warped. Prior to hanging, if you are storing them at home lay them in a pile, flat and on some timber battens.DO NOT STAND THEM UP AGAINST A WALL, they will warp. Also hang them on 3 hinges, and decorate asap to stop...

    TOADSTALLS IN LAWN

I have a ring of toadstalls in my lawn. What is the best way to get rid of them for good ?

All doorways have to have a clearance of 1m that are too be accessed by wheechair. You used to be able to fit 926mm doors which are plenty big enough, but now you have to cut them out of a door blank.Just another stupid idea by someone justifying there job.
