Smoke/Carbon Monoxide Alarms (New Scotland Legislation)

Looks like you need 1 x smoke upper landing 1 x smoke downstairs hall 1 x smoke living room (or the most frequented room) 1 x heat in kitchen All above to be interlinked. 1 x monoxide detector (installed outside the cupboard door) This does not need to be interlinked. I only use Aico products.

Hi Dan, I’m a bit suspicious now…is this your own install? however I would contact the installer and sort out if required as you seem to be on the to helpful side and none of my customers would be like this good luck

Issues with new CCTV system install at work

Hi Dan, Those multiplexers are fine for the job as I have used them a lot on jobs and are from the same suppliers as the cameras. Check what cameras are installed as those multiplexer units will only take up to 3MP cameras. You get 2mp Colorvu cameras but then the rest are 5MP. On the DVR side...

    EUROSEC CP8L anti-tamper / rewire

Put the panel in installing mode and this deactivates all tampers. Remove the +12v on the panel PCB(this will cover down the PIR's). Once you have connected/replaced the sensors put the 12v cables back, put panel lid back on, come out of installer mode and do a walk test. Remember to keep the...

    Hikvision worth the money?

I install all HIK and for the money its very good kit. We are currently installing a lot of NVRS with colorvu cameras(5MP) and I can say the picture quality is excellent. I would advise choosing the right camera lense for the suitable area and don't fit under the top floor soffit as you will...

As Sparky says the battery will fit as it’s the same case. Another point when you down power the system the external bell should sound? If not then I would advise a replacement.

Veritas 8 Alarm Panel Cover Removal - Help Pleasey

The transformer powers up the panel itself. Unfortunately due to having the 16 year old battery in for so long it’s damaged the board. If you like Texe equipment you could upgrade to a Premier which has more features.

Veritas 8 Alarm Panel Cover Removal - Help Pleasey

Battery circuit has gone......you should be getting 12.5v upwards on the leads. Just double check the battery fuse again and if ok then you require a new panel.
