Hi all,
I was wondering if anyone can recommend a decent primer for when I do my bathroom. I am going to have aquapanels around the shower bath so I assume I don't need to prime that (as I have read you just tile straight onto the boards smooth side).
As for the moisture resistant...
I will measure the joists and report back. I don't think there are any supporting walls underneath as the are mainly stud walls. I don't know for sure if the dormers have brick / block work on them. Even if they did would they be considered supporting walls?
I've got the tank in the loft and I have an idea of where I would like to put it BUT the concern I have is will it be strong enough to hold where I want to position it.
Its a semi detached house. The roof is a dormer roof and our loft has two sides bricked up to the top (one is the gable...

Ive got a plywood arch next to the chiminey breast on the flexable plywood has come away underneath (it's about 4 inches wide that curves around the bottom).
I'm going to replace this with another bendy strip of plywood but was wondering what I need to put on it so a plasterer can paster over...
All the walls bar one of our bathroom are stud walls. Typically the wall that is block work is the wall I want to install aqua panels (as that's where the bath / shower will be).
My question is what is the min depth the studs can be to install aqua panels? I know they recommend building up...

This may sound a dumb question but do you need to lay the 6"x2"s flat on the 6" side (so standing 2" up) or lay them on the 2" edge (so standing 6" up)?
I was wondering if the adhesive mentioned, BAL Rapidset Flexible, the best bet to use on Aquapanels and Moistureshield Plasterboard? Or does it not matter what board you are going to be tiling on and this adhesive is fine to use on these boards?
Hi all,
I'm looking to fit a Polytank Cold Water Coffin Tank (70 Gallon) into our loft to replace the existing 40/50 gal circular tank that is already up there. The dimensions of the new tank are 1650 x 610 x 500mm
The new tank will go up the loft hatch fine and I am sure the old one will...
One last question on this. Is the microflex a suitable grout to use in the bathroom where I plan of fitting a bath shower which will be powered by a shower pump (so high pressure).
If microflex is not suitable for this what other BAL grout should I consider?
Many thanks
Ok thanks, sounds like I will run the 22mm pipes right up to the bar mixer plate and then reduce them down to 15mm and carry on from there.
Thanks for the help!
Thanks for the reply.
I am looking to tile ceramic tiles onto aqua panels so want to make sure I pick the right BAL adhesive and grout.
Sounds like rapid set powder & microflex grout is the way to go!
