    Ceiling fan has slowed down

I did link the item. Fair enough I don't know the terminology, but this is a DIY forum

    Ceiling fan has slowed down

They each have their own remote control and all three remote controls work on all three fans. From the replies above, I am assuming that it is still a capacitor issue then. I was (probably incorrectly) under the impression that the capacitor would be easily accessed for replacement. And so I...

    Ceiling fan has slowed down

Hi everyone. I have 3 of these ceiling fans/lights. Here is a link to the fan: https://is.gd/mNrV62 I have had them for about 5 years. They have 3 speed settings. One of them slowed down to about half of the speed that it should be. I have cleaned all of the dust off the 3 blades. That didn't...

    Fixing WC on tiled floor

Have this sorted more or less, apart from the fact that even with the 2 back screws in place the toilet bowl moves. I can clean off the old silicon and go again, but will silicon around the edge of the bowl be enough? Are these toilet bowls flat underneath? If so, I'd also add some silicon in...

It was cleaner before the pan moved, but I guess that is the least of my worries. :)

    Fixing WC on tiled floor

Pan connector looks new. I just had a close look. However, the boxed tiling around the waste tube is broken. Perhaps that is causing the septic tank type smell. Another possibility is the shore/drain cover on the floor in the bathroom. I opened it and because it was tiling on top of tiling, it...

    Fixing WC on tiled floor

Thanks guys. I'm not sure if he used a new connector/seal. I suppose I trusted him enough at the time not to observe. Not that I'd know much about that either. And yeah, the toilet was removed and refitted by the tiler. He insisted on fitting the tiles under the toilet rather than cutting around it.

    Fixing WC on tiled floor

Christmas week, we had a man in to put down a wood effect tiled floor in our WC. It was the 22nd when he started but it was a small room so I figured he could get it done in a day. He agreed, and said a few hours would be enough. As always happens, he didn’t finish it on the 22nd and he said...

Fleck Water Heater tripping the power (Spain)

This is gonna sound silly but I noticed a couple of plug ins, one to keep the cat calm and one as a basic air freshener. Both empty and still plugged in. They were warm to touch. I've now removed them and put the water heater back on an the last 15 hours have been fine

Fleck Water Heater tripping the power (Spain)

I left the water heater unplugged for 12 hours and there was no trip. Mind you, it has been plugged back in now for the last 4 hours and there is no trip yet either.
