    Thanks Charnwood. The water does come from a pipe at the bottom of the cistern. It's the end of the pipe that you can see disappearing to the back in the picture. Is it this that needs replacing then? And not the white cylindrical unit with the push button cable attached to the top? The...

    This was a photo I took showing where the diaphragm sits, with the whisperflo unit taken off. To the left is the inlet valve with the flush cable attached to the top. Does this show enough?
