    Thanks all. I’ve drilled out the broken stub of screw left in and somehow managed to screw the remaining bit back in … results are that one lever is shorter and missing the chrome sleeve bit 100% functional! It’s ok for a short term fix!!

    Hello Old Victorian house - different layers and patches of paint. Looking to get it back to plain wood. Anyone had experience with a stripper product called ‘Kling strip’? Reluctant to sand cos of lead paint. Any advice on best approach appreciated Thanks

    Did they appear suddenly? I’d suggest filling them foe the time being to stop moisture entering. Then monitor them for any further cracking.
