Glad to say, I replaced the timer and all is now OK!

Thanks for that - i dont have a thermostat in the house - all the radiators are on thermostatic valves. Have ordered a new controller, so hopefully that will help.

I have a Saunier Duval Thelia Twin 28E combi boiler controlled with a Potterton Mini Minder Es. The hot water works fine, but the heating only seems to work intermittently - - mainly OK in the mornings, dodgier in the evening. I am hoping this is just a case of me needing a new controller...

I have bought an electric oevn that I need to wire in. It's a 2350W rating. I have an old, spare 13A FCU as part of the ring main that used to have a dishwasher connected to it. Is it OK to connect it here? If so what type of wire should I use? :?:

Right - after much effort I've got some pictures for you! They should show you roughly what I'm on about: I don't think I can do too much about the wastepipe (which is 40mm diameter) as the bottom sections (that were attached to the old kitchen) are all glued in. Any ideas abot this...
