I have bought an electric oevn that I need to wire in. It's a 2350W rating. I have an old, spare 13A FCU as part of the ring main that used to have a dishwasher connected to it.

Is it OK to connect it here? If so what type of wire should I use? :?:

generally ovens less than 3KW come with a flex and plug but if not then it is fine to wire them into a plug or FCU

you should use 1.5mm heat resistant flex

That's great - so no need for a 6mm2 connection to the consumer unit?

correct

you only need a dedicated cuircuit if the cooker is over 3KW
