I have over thought this, wife reminded me that there used to be a wooden platform holding a 50 gallon cold tank and a 3 gallon F&E tank up there so I reckon it will hold some CLS and a few suitcases spread out a bit more widely.
If it’s just a temporary fix then why not just use expanding foam in all the gaps to seal them up for now. Cheaper than PIR for something with limited longevity.
Evening all,
We live in a two story steep side villa style affair where the upstairs is bounded by the 45 degree roof in the rooms.
There is a reasonable attic space that we want to re-insulate and board over for light storage like Christmas decorations, some suitcases and a few tool boxes...
Thank you. I have done the pressure washing at the weekend as it was manky (it's made the surface quite rough with little bits of the concrete coming loose). I'll get some more SBR and give it a seal - if it ever stops raining here in Fife.
Morning all,
I'm in the process of covering over a 3600mm square concrete slab in my garden. It was an old base for a shed that's now gonzo.
The chief financial officer has approved 900 x 600 Kandala Grey porcelain slabs (20mm thick) and so I've ordered 30 to cover any wastage etc.
Due to the...
Thanks, I have a Pegler PB300 lever valve that I was going to use to act as a shut off when not in use to minimise the "constant pressure" but 15 bar would be more than enough as I never need the compressor above that (runs 3 brad nailers and a random orbital sander).
Thanks, how would I wet...
Hi all,
I know this strictly isn't a plumbing question, per se, so apologies in advance.
I have just recently built a new workshop in my garden, just for hobbyist woodworking and messing around mainly. And in here I want to run air line up the walls and over the roof to keep from having...
Any ideas on where to find a 15g nailer? All I seem to be able to find are 16 or 18. Happy to hand hammer on the shed build, yeah will take me longer but for the garage wall boards I would be there forever.
You reckon the 18g nails would hold? I mean, I trust it for making cabinets and bench tops but holding 8 x 4 sheets up?
I can pick the 12mm MDF up for £5 per board, OSB would be nearly double. The garage is leak free and doesn't get too damp. Cold yeah, but never really had issues with damp...
Not sure if this is the right sub forum for this question, if not please move.
I have a couple of jobs to get done, first is lining my garage walls with 12mm MDF (I have already fitted the stud frame to the concrete panel walls using 89 x 38mm CLS) and want to nail the MDF sheets rather than...
Afternoon all,
Just had a new kitchen fitted, and lovely as it is, I now need to lay laminate to finish it off.
Now, I have experience of laying laminate in living rooms and bedrooms but never a kitchen, so when I come up against a kitchen unit end panel that is down to floor level, how much...
Good day all,
Getting the kitchen replaced shortly and moving the dishwasher to stand on it's own on the other side of the kitchen. Got a 40mm waste spurred off of the WC basin next door and a 15mm cold feed with stop valve.
Now, does the dishwasher need a P trap or can it be connected...
Ok so magnet didn't seem to stick to any pipes around the pump area.
And it gets more weird. I shut the hot water off and shut off all of the rads except the one that needs bled all the time. Then bled it fully until it was hot. Then let it run on its own for 30 minutes. No air issue. Then I...
I only ask as the pressure at the draincock is quite high when it's drained and empties quite quickly. I will try and find a magnet (not something I tend to have around) and check the joint pipe.
