    Just some Feadback if interested The timber Is related as on one of the drawings you sent attached, it shows a timber purlin so we have generated the load that purlin will impose on the steel beam we have designed.

    Hi Just a quick question, im awaiting structure engineer to reply to email, but it's bugging me now. The council BC attended today all work fine but have questioned why this timber spec on drawing. It's just randomly on there and confused everyone, the calcs are only for steel in rear wall...

    My point Tony, and thanks for the reply, the two rsj's bolted together are 270mm, which to be honest is the cavity wall thickness, the rsj is fine. The padstone calculation seems way out..

    Hi guys, just a little confused my drawing states that 215 width padstones are required, but the two steels bolted together are 270 wide, see attached so confusing. Surely the padstone with would be the same has rsj?
