My new project is at the other end of kent from me in Westgate nr Margate and I have only been to the house a couple of times and have not a clue of local retailers, the question I have is..... Do any of you live that way and can suggest any good places with sensible prices to get any materials...

I am with speed butt joint, biscuits & clamps on wood worktops, you will still need a router though, but you could make a jig for cut outs for clamps. Baza

I am not a plasterer (totaly self taught) but have done loads over the years, what you describe above used to happen to me ... I used to put it down to not troweling up the first coat enough but then changed to a bigger wisk and a much slower drill and my problem seemed to go..... hope this...

I use neat bleach and a tooth brush (the wife's brush seems the best) :lol: I let it soak for a while then a light scrub, this is not a professional tip just what I do Baza

Sorry to add more concern but the pigeons in the loft may be a worse problem than you think, Pigeon mites are not nice, they live and breed in pigeon poo (I think) and eventually crawl into the rooms below. Speak to environmental health and ask for advice. Baza

If this is turned the other way how would you maintain the wall built right on your boundary, have you a right of access onto their land to maintain your boundary wall/fence. I bring this up as I am buying a house with buildings with gutters right on the boundary. Hi BTW 1st post of many. Baza
