Hi, I hope someone can help.
I've just taken up some terracotta tiles from a kitchen floor, but in some areas they have taken the badly-layed screed with them and left holes up to 30mm deep, some down to the insulation :-/
I'm having someone come to apply a latex screed to the whole floor...
The only other idea I had was rerouting the current flue through the lounge in the upper corner of the ceiling and boxing it in.
It would simply mean turning it through 90 degrees as it heads up and through the ceiling and exits over the bedroom at the moment.
Is this an option?
Thanks for replying.
True, they aren't the most desirable but they don't require an annual gas service either which is a plus.
Relocating the site of the gas boiler is not ideal though as the proposed placement isn't very aesthetic and will be in the living area where it might be a little...
I have a flat in a large modern block (about 10 year old) and the management have declared that to bring the block up to 2013 regs the current gas boilers need replacing as the flues are unable to be inspected along their length.
The supposed discounted options given to us by a large company...
Anyone used Ezy-drain? It's a drop-in system to create a soakaway for a septic tank or other soakaway.
I need to repair my saturated soakaway and it looks like an easy solution. A day with a hired mini digger should do it. Just wondering if it has any drawbacks or if the performance is...
Hi all,
my septic tank is failing and now is the time to connect to the main drains I feel as we'll be doing another extension soon that will require this.
However, rather than connecting to the road, we have an agreement in writing to be able to connect to next doors drain system.
The...
I need to resurrect this thread unfortunately.
The fan has been replaced and now the squealing has gone and it runs without any noise.
However, the burner still appears to not fully light. The pilot is fine and the lights indicate 'burner on' but there is only a small flame (other than...
All lights are on as normal as they would be if it were working correctly.
Starting to think it might be the fan now, as you suggested, as it gets noisy and then switches itself off before heating up..
Is the fan easy to replace? I'm very handy normally but of course with boilers I'll...
OK, so it could be the fan. Would that prevent it from functioning? There certainly appears to be plenty of flames in the window, it just isn't getting particularly warm though I must confess I'm not sure how warm it tends to get when it's on.
Could it be the pump? Even though it's whirring...
