    Laminated Floor Protection

I'm guessing people haven't heard of anything like this, or that it is practiced? :?

    Laminated Floor Protection

I have just had laminated flooring installed and I'm very happy with it. Looks great! The guy who installed suggested that at the local shop there is this solution which you put on the floor, like a wax solution but stronger, can be just put on the floor (I'm presuming you use a mop or...

Sorry for the delay in getting back! Thanks for the info, cleared it up nicely! Now what distribution amps can you guys recommend please?

    Splitter or Amplifier

Thanks for your replies guys! It is fine if the Sky signal cannot be sent through an amplifier. Can I connect two coax from the living room straight into Sky's LNBs box? And then (if I have a big LNB box) connect the others to an amplifier for just simple Freeview? Is that possible?

    Splitter or Amplifier

I am having my house re-wired and currently have installed coax cables in 4 rooms. As the Sky dish is on the garage side, all of the cables will come to my new data comms cabinet where I will also have patch panels, etc. I don't know what I need to distribute Freeview chanels to the 4...

CCS CAT5e Same as CCA CAT5e?

While that is a valid point, I am only getting the electrician to just pull the cables through, I'll be punching the cable into the wall modules and patch panel myself as and when I have time. The other thing is, me being me, I would rather have the bog standard (CAT5e) or go all out CAT6a...

CCS CAT5e Same as CCA CAT5e?

My thoughts exactly. I don't really think you can have compliant cheap stuff. ------------- Apparently this is the manufacturer: http://www.connectixdirect.com/acatalog/Enhanced_Category_5_UTP_Solid_Cable.html And this is the distributor...

CCS CAT5e Same as CCA CAT5e?

I am just about to have my electrician put this in my house: And I just want to double check that it is what I think it is - CCA, cheap Chinese stuff. Am I correct?

Multiple BT Lines Over Single CAT5e To Patch Panel

Thanks for the informative reply OwainDIYer! So I need something that will convert a BT line to CAT5 then back to BT RJ11 cable or something. Basically I want my ADSL router to reside in the comms cabinet. So I guess I could use the CAT5 copper to transmit the telephone signals, then...

Multiple BT Lines Over Single CAT5e To Patch Panel

What is the best way for me to achieve this? I am wanting to connect a CAT5e cable from the master BT telephone socket to my patch panel. From what I understand it can be done by connecting the CAT cable straight into the master socket (punching in the cables into the socket) and then I...

    Tap Measurements

How can I measure my kitchen tap to replace it? Are the kitchen taps, or taps in general a standard size? I am looking at purchasing this tap: http://www.screwfix.com/p/h-c-counter-mounted-lever-deck-mixer-kitchen-tap/72038# but I am not sure if it will fit. Currently I have two...
