How to unblock a Cold Feed pipe for my Central Heating

System was working up to when I drained it and then found I could not refill via the expansion tank/cold feed.

I can get a flexible pipe cleaning snake right up to the entry into the boiler, but it is a right angle bend so cannot put any pressure on the actual blockage. Hence propose to inject some system resorer into the blocked entry to the boiler via a flexible tube.

Presumably you've got a Mk II Netaheat (with two return tappings on the back of the heat exchanger (really smart place to put them!!). Looking at the layout, I guess it makes no difference whether the boiler is in a corner or not - you'd never be able to get at the return pipe(s) anyway.

But given that it's a cast HX, there must be space inside to place and afterwards remove the cores that form the water passages. There's certainly a coverplate on the left-hand side of the HX. Remove that and you just might have access to the ends of the return pipes from the inside. I'm not advising this - I've never removed one of those plates! But if the alternative is to scrap the boiler, it might be worth a try. If the boiler is in a left corner you're in with a (small) chance.
