I have a Baxi105e and recently it has started making a lound banging noise when either the CH or the DHW makes the boiler fire up.
It happens when the water is reaching the thermostat temperature. Ive noticed that the pressure gauge flicks between 1.5 and 2.5 when this happens.
Ive been told that its an airlock or the Heat Exchanger?? is clogged up. Ive bled all the radiators and the pump lets out a trickle of water if i loosen the screw on the front. Is there anything i can try apart from finding the money to call someone in.
A few years ago i had to change two of the radiator thermostats so im ok with draining the system and removing radiators etc.

more than likely need,s to be flushed with chemical cleaner
how long since it's been cleaned
when you changed trv you should have used cleaner and then added inhibitor
you can use fernox heavy duty system restore or fernox ds40
then add fernox f1 inhibitor
when you pressureise the system when cold to about 1.5 bar max

is it by any chance when hting switches f so known problem with "o"rings in diverter valve. Just a thought

more associated with the instant model and more of a whistling noise rather than banging.

It happens when the hot water is called on the most. A few years back we had to have the heat exchanger replaced because we were getting hot water for a bit then it would run cold for 20 seconds then hot again and repeat this for however long. It looks like the same thing is happening again.
Is there a possibility that its clogged up this time and would Cleanser/Descaler & Inhibitor All in One possibly shift it??
Thanks for the replys so far

Ive put some boiler noise silencerin which was recommended but could it be caused by a blocked Flow Regulator??? Im at a complete loss and might start banging my head on the boiler to stop the noise..

waste of time getting the f2
it's the he blocked
look at post above

UPDATE:
First off thanks to everyone for their help..
I added System-hush and after a few days im enjoying a fully functioning QUIET system. Im guessing i was lucky and it cleared whatever was blocking the system.
Ive only updated this in case its of any help to someone else.
Thanks again...
