Solar panels - worthwhile

I'm in the N. Alps.

You are entirely wrong about the panels.

E.on take all the feed-in tariff benefits and all you get ( as far as I have read ) is your electricity consumption during generation periods i.e. daytime. Since relatively few people are at home during the day, the benefits to the householder are likely to be very small and certainly out-weighed by problems if you wish to move in 25 year contact.

You seem to be well informed about this .Can I ask where you got the info from ??

Both numerous threads on this site - mainly in electrics , particularly one very long thread - and many newspaper articles which have discussed trhe pros and cons

I'm interested in renewable energy when it is available at a reasonable price/cost.

OK Thanks for the info .
Regards
Rob .

I have actually got Eon coming to do a survey on my property at the end of the month to see if its suitable for the solar panels .I will let you all know what the deal is with it .(if they deem the property suitable !)
