Hi guys,

I've recently have an issue with my Baxi 105HE combi boiler, with regards a faulty DHW temp sensor.

Having had that fixed, and getting hot-water back again, I've now got a problem with my Triton Dove Thermostatic shower, which is fed off the Baxi.

The inlet for the hot-water is very hot, but the output from the shower never gets above 'warm', despite turning the thermostat right up.

Have I got a duff thermostatic cartridge (£40 to replace), or is there something else that could be effecting the performance of it? Something related to the boiler now working, after being intermittent for about 2 months ?!?

Cheers,
Andy

Having found and read the manual (http://www.triton-shower-shop.co.uk/link/1/pwtt0060installation.pdf) I think the thermostat just need re-adjusting, will give it a go tonight and see how it goes.

I dont touch showers as I find them too unreliable.

But the Triton poducts seem to be the worst!

Before playing with the cartridge check for blockages in any hot water inlet filters.

For the output to change something significant mush have changed.

I sometimes find soaking the cartridge in acid dissolves lime scale and cures the problem.

Thanks for the reply Tony, will give those things a try this evening, and see how it goes.

I've some some 'lime-scale' remover, so I'll try soaking the cartridge in that to.

Tried readjusting it, with no luck. It's adjusted to the max, and still only a warm output.

Confirmed that the boiler kicks in ok when just the shower is turned on.

Input on the left is red hot. Going to try taking the bar off later, and cleaning the inlet filter and thermo cartridge.

Managed to strip it down, cleaned the filters, reassembled, and normal service is resumed ;)

I now have exactly the same problem - I've got the Triton Capella mixer(the older version of the Dove, but more or less the same) hooked up to a Worcester 28CDI combi - going to take the cartridge out and clean the filters - will let you know how I get on, we are not in a hard water area so in theory there should be no limescale issues, but will give it a good clean anyway.
