MH17

If this aircraft was brought down by a surface to air missile, the debri field looks very compact, I would have thought the aircraft would have broke up in flight, and the wreckage spread over a much larger area, I feel there is more to this tradegdy than first thought.

Explosive decompressions don't always cause inflight breakup (and that's essentially what a missile strike would do to an airliner).

I don't think anyone on here believes everything they are told but you miss the point ellal.

A passenger jet was shot down killing everyone on board. 298 innocent souls with families just like you and me. Someone needs to investigate it and blaming the US for everything doesn't make it ok or equal in any way. It doesn't matter if it is investigated by America or Mr MaGoo so long as the culprits are brought to justice.

Journalists have reported wreckage lying 'for miles around'. What you see on TV is just the main fuselage having being scattered on impact with the ground.

What if the missile only caused the plane to lose control, i.e. it struck an extreme part of the aircraft whilst leaving it mostly intact but uncontrollable?

And where have I blamed the septics for MH17?

I have merely pointed out that the US is not exactly 'lily white' when it comes to a historical shooting down of a civilian aircraft and getting away with it!

And they never admitted liability or apologised!

There were no calls for a UN/International investigation either...

Did that happen with Iran Air flight 655? - A civilian aircraft shot down over its own airspace!

'Justice' is not universal, but dependant on the perpetrators - a simple point you seem to have missed!

Plane flies over a warzone, get's shot down, probably mistaken for a military plane (which have been flying about).

What will an investigation tell us that we don't already know?
 
Remember that case vaguely.

The captain of that ship did not have permission to change position but sailed anyway meaning that when he fired the missile, he was no longer in international waters.The plane was in Iranian airspace, flying over Iran's territorial waters.

They mistook the signal from the plane as one from an F-14, however, they were operated at that time by only the US Navy and the Iran Air Force. The Iranian F-14s had only air to air combat facilities.

Yet the captain was worried about an attack from the "F-14"?

If, as has been suggested an SA-11 missile downed MH-17 then it is unlikely to be a case of mistaken identity as the buk missile launcher used for the deployment of the SA-11 has an IFF (identify friend or foe) to determine the type of aircraft.
