Feather edge boards, cause damp?

A picture paints a thousand words as they say. I see what you mean. Not seen that before but, AFAIK, a perfectly acceptable method.

One thing I cannot make out from the picture - are those posts in the middle (the large posts supporting the arris rails inside the fencing) angled at the top? Reason I ask is that they LOOK flat at the top and, if they ARE then that may be an issue.

But I digress...

I assume you will use cant rail as battens? As I said, I would be tempted to put a spacer between the sloping face of the cant rail and the brick wall. That way the only direct contact with the brick is at the fixing points which will have a very small surface area. Needless to say, use SS or similar product.

Again, all just IMHO. I am not an expert but there are plenty who are on here.

Regards,

B

Yes, they are slanted on top of the posts & yes again to the cant rail as the sloped edge as you know will help with water run off.

All good then. Post a pic when you're done. We like pics on here.

When you said the whole gable, i had different things in mind. as bellboy mentioned put a angled feathedge board on top to stop rubbish coming in

ps the continuous fence is top - I know as i have over 200m of it
