Any ideas what these are?

Hi everyone, I have noticed two of these in my house wall today... This one is head height and the other one is about 15 foot above the ground. Both are on the same corner but on either wall - if you know what I mean. They have appeared over the last week while I have been away. I have no idea what they are for or who put them there. Obviously a hole has been drilled and the 'plug' has been hammered in. They are about 8mm across. Any ideas?

Have you had any work done like satelite or tv work. roof work etc. Is there BT cables at the top yof your building?

It could be that someone has anchored a ladder to the wall to access something above and have inserted a plug and cap so not to leave a drilled hole.

Hi BigRob! Yes I had an extra LNB put on my Sky dish a month or so ago, but I watched the engineer do it and he did not attach his ladder to the wall. Do you think they are nothing to worry about then?

Sky use them to anchor ladders to the wall all the time, nothing to worry about.
