Draining rads

About to drain the rads/heating on the WB 240 RSF, am i right in saying we shold just isolate main return and flow pipes and drain, the boiler will just function on DHW?

Yes - isolate at the boiler, as long as the boiler retains pressure in the heating loop you'll be good - make sure that there's no call for heating either at programmer or stat
 
And keep an eye on pressure just in case one of the isolators are not holding. Unlikely, but...

Most of the time they do.

Thats if they still turn, which is another issue!

I wouldn't touch the boiler valves if I were you - turning them almost invariably makes them leak, and once they start leaking there's no stopping them.
