Hi All

When installing central heating where is the best place for the drain valve to go?

Intuition tells me it shold be at the lowest point in the system but this would mean locating it below the floor. Can I place it on the last radiator about half way up the tail on the return pipe?

Thanks

Pete

Yes, but the best is under the floor, with pipes going out through the walls from each of flow and return.
Personal fave is to use drain cocks on the ends of the pipes, but in compression couplers. Then you can replace the DC's if they need it, or take the DC's out to attach hoses to flush the system properly.
It'll save you a lot of potential grief in the future.
