Hi All

I am currently re-doing my bathroom, I plan to replace my floor with 18mm ply.

The room is too big to do with one sheet so I will need to use two sheets. I was planning to add some floor noggins where the sheets meet, to help reduce movement, and also add some under the bath, as the new bath will be a lot heavier than the old one.

Now, is there a preferred wood size/type for this? am I ok to just screw through the joists into the ends of the noggins? or would brackets be better?

Thanks

Andy

12mm ply, screwed to the existing flooring, will work
just as well or better than the 18mm, and no need at all to go ripping up your floor.

Is your bathroom a clean footprint or are fixtures in place?

Things are being moved about, so most of the floor will come up anyway, so I may as well replace with new.
