Hi,

When I open the cold water tap from the sink in the bathroom, the pipe vibrates under the bath and it sounds like a drill perforating through a wall. The pipe feeds the toilet, then the bath (no problem with these two) and finally feeds the tap in the sink and I don't know why I'm getting that noise. To stop that noise I am having to open the cold water tap from the bath first, so having two taps running stop the noise. Any suggestions?

Many thanks.

Take the tap apart and put some silicone grease or lanolin around the spindle of the bit that holds the washer. It may stop the hammer.
