Hello!

I've stripped the wallpaper off my ceiling and want to paint it (ignore the walls!).

It is in reasonable condition, but has a few little nicks from the remnants of the wallpaper.

I just want to smooth it out so I can paint over it. What do I need to do? Will sugar soap alone do the trick?

Also, there's more of a dent on parts of the ceiling. Can some polyfilla do the trick for that?

A thorough sanding to start with. Give it a coat of Zinsser Gardz to seal it in case it has distemper on it. Fill everything that needs it with Polyfilla if that's what you have and then give it a coat of paint. Check for any more filling and then give further coats till your happy !

Again Robbie thanks for your help. That's all perfect - will do everything you suggest!

Though to be honest that's more than a few nicks and bits of paper, It is indeed doable as Robbie says, but I reckon you'll have quite a job ahead of you there
