Hi. Think my brushes need changing maybe? My washer, when on spin with 7 minutes to go a load of soapy water starts to appear as though water is being released into the washer. Surely it should be draining at this point! As when i get the washing out of the drum it is soaking wet.It spins ok but no water comes out of the waste pipe? Or is that at drain pump problem? Help!

what did you find when you cleaned the filter and removed the bra wires, sock and loose change?

couple of coins and a bit of wire, no real blockage. As I say its spinning but just not draining

pull the hose out and see if it is free. Water should gush out when you lie in flat on the ground.

I still think a blockage or jammed pump impellor the most likely cause. If you tilt the machine backwards you may be able to see if the pump drive looks correct.

I have had to drain the machine of water to get the clothes out. Is there an easy way to check wastepipe? If it is blocked or not?

ok. I have checked waste pipe and ran water through it and water comes out other end, no blockage. I have taken off drain pump it just a little debris , not enough to stop machine from draining. Does this suggest I need a new drain pump?

Also the drain pump does not spin freely. You have to apply a little pressure to spin it

Drain pumps do not spin freely, if you can measure a voltage across the terminals when the machine is in drain & spin mode then you need a new pump motor.
